With experience in working with state, city and parish government contracts, Southern Safety Shield, Inc. has facilitated the development of OSHA compliance programs for nine different states.  Southern Safety Shield, Inc. has developed programs in MMS, MSHA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, SPCC plans, and PSM programs.  We are diversified and have worked with construction industry, fabrication, environmental laboratories, hazardous waste management, wastewater treatment, hazardous material remediation, offshore, oil field, and petro-chemical cliental.  We routinely conduct safety and equipment assessments while maintaining related budgets. 

 

Our history has included the implementation of a Workers Compensation case history review which facilitated a decrease in accidents from 17 per quarter to 3 per quarter within the first year.  We were also a member of the investigating team handling the root cause for the explosion at Kaiser Aluminum in July 1999 and acted as liaisons to MSHA and outside legal representatives.
